This week brings us the much anticipated return of our TEAM TIPPLE series, with the fourth instalment coming from our chief of all things bubbly; Helen, the Fizzy Rascal herself.

Here is what she had to say…

”   From our still wine collection, my team tipple would have to be the Haloze White because it’s dry and has great minerality. I also love the fact that it’s fruity and yet has great acidity too. I find it a really refreshing sip! It goes amazingly well with shellfish. I’d drink it over a long sunny lunch of seafood pasta.
With its fruitiness and fresh acidity, this is a crowd pleasing wine that can be sipped with or without food.   “

Named after the unique microclimate from which it came, the Haloze White is a vegan and sustainably-made blend of four grapes, that’s fruit forward on the nose with a medium body.

Its screw cap, alongside its accessible flavour, makes it a compelling option for a house white, sitting perfectly on a winelist alongside one or two more of the fascinating Zavec wines.

”   With winemaking Grandparents on either side, it’s fair to say that viticulture runs in the blood of the Zavec family, who began their own winery back in 1995. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength expanding to four vineyards across the warm, rolling hills of Haloze. With the unique easterly wind and mineral soil of that area, paired with Zavec’s sustainable and partially organic approach, we have some delicious and refined wines you don’t want to miss…   “
