It’s been a painfully slow road to good weather this year, but we’re finally starting to see the sunshine we’ve all been craving over the past eight months – and you know what that means – it’s Rosé season!
Mind you – if this report from Harper’s were anything to go by, it would appear that Rosés haven’t been waiting around for the weather man, and have been flying off the shelves throughout the gloomy pandemic:
” Rosé recorded the biggest uplift in sales compared to 2019, shooting up 22% in volume, with over 113 million bottles sold. This compares to just over 22 million bottles sold in 2016. “
….Or how about a Rosé Prosecco? If you read our last post about the italian fizz, you’ll know that Prosecco has also performed well throughout the difficult winter months. Much like the Rosé above, it will only perform better as the weather improves, and celebrations begin.
Lastly we have a Rosé champagne. As August 2020 was the “best August for Champagne sales in the UK off-trade since records began” we think it’s a very safe best to say that this Summer will be even better – particularly if you add the Rosé factor into the mix.
