For many of the more seasoned wine fans, a glass of red is a no brainer over the winter period – often the deeper, darker and more challenging, the better.
But what about those folks who are ready to make this the year they find out what all the hype is about, but are generally more partial to a white, or not experienced in wine at all?
We’d suggest two of our most popular, crowd-pleasing reds; Two Zinfandels, both from the bounteous soils of California, bursting with fresh fruits and juicy satisfaction.
First we have the Old Vine Swirl Zinfandel, a deliciously rich and fruity red offering deep blackberries and gentle tannins, perfect alongside hard cheese, or on its own by an open fire.
Next we have the 11th Hour Zinfandel Red,
With grapes picked at the last minute (or 11th hour) to ensure maximum fruity flavour, this one offers cranberries, plums and juicy blackberries, finishing with spice, vanilla and cedar. It’s a versatile all-rounder that’s perfect for a (dare we say it?) Christmas cheese board.
