As a recent article from Harper’s would suggest, Portuguese wines sales have continued to grow exponentially over the past 5 years, and according to figures provided by Frederico Falcão, president of ViniPortugal, “British drinkers seem finally to have got a taste for Portuguese wines”

As long time fans of these wines, with three wonderful, Portuguese family winemakers on our roster, this is music to our ears.

Let us introduce you to our most recent addition to that roster, added just this year.

Located in the International Douro Nature Park, at an elevation of 640 metres is Colinas Do Duoro. Respecting and enhancing the incredibly rich local biodiversity, their wines express elegance, freshness and minerality.

Their Quinta da Pedra Cavada Reserva is the perfect example of that:

A signature blend of five indigenous Portuguese grapes for a definitive taste of the Douro Valley. Sumptuously rich and well-balanced with great acidity, good weight, structure and purity of black fruit.

The warming yet refreshing fruits of this wine make it a great choice for menus all year round.  Not to mention a robust profile making it a fantastic food wine, and thus an even better addition to your cellars.
