More ‘siblings’ from the Award Winning Viniterra Winery
Viniterra Single Vineyard 2015 – we can’t wait to spill the beans on the rest of the Viniterra family. After all, there’s never just one star in the family!!
The term “family” is very important to Wine Rascals. Our head of marketing, Teresa, is sister to Tony, CEO of CW Group. Family is one of our most important values, from the heart of the business to working with family run vineyards. Family equates to provenance, passion and unity.
Viniterra create extraordinary wines in their pursuit of innovation at altitude and on the Malbec front, there is a style and price-point to suit all. Starting with the naughty little brother, the ‘Terra Malbec’ is outstanding value and over-delivers as a house wine. Hand-picked in mid April with six months in French oak barrels followed by at least six months ageing in bottle. Bursting with mature red fruit, spices and notes of vanilla and coffee with smooth tannins.
Up next in the family line up is the ‘Viniterra Malbec’ (9 months in French oak) followed by the ‘Viniterra Select Malbec’ (12 months in French oak) – both full-bodied wines with juicy black fruits and elegant tannins.
On the white grape front, the ‘Terra Torrontes’ is the aromatic twin to the Terra Malbec. A great food or by the glass wine, again hand-picked with good, clean minerality and a very moreish purity. For a cousin with elegance, complexity and great ageing potential, Viniterra also produce a Carmenere.
Shortlisted for Argentine Producer at the IWSC for the 3rd year running, this is a family of wines you really need to meet. We’ll be showing some of the Viniterra range at Sitts London and Manchester in February. If you can’t wait until then, contact Mark on Mark@winerascals.com.
